19th Annual “Walk for Life”
May 3, 2008
Location: Amador Community Park in Pleasanton
The VPC sponsors a walkathon every spring with a goal of raising $100,000 to support our services. We have a BBQ, Live Bluegrass Band, Client Testimonies, Raffle Prizes, Crackers the Clown, Games and Prizes for Kids and great Fellowship. This event gives everyone in the community an opportunity to help in a very real way.

If you would be willing to participate in this way… Distribute baby bottles supplied by us to congregation or youth or women’s groups/Bible Studies to fill with change for moms and babies of the VPC.

Sanctity of Human Life Sunday

Sanctity of Human Life Sunday was originally developed by Curtis Young, a former leader of the Christian Action Council. The idea was to designate a time for ministers and congregations to unite and focus on the value of human life. Traditionally the day chosen to celebrate has been the Sunday nearest the anniversary of the Roe vs Wade Decision (January 22, 1973).
