The Valley Pregnancy Center (VPC) encourages informed
decision making by providing compassionate support and accurate information
on pregnancy and all available alternatives to abortion. The services
we offer are available free of charge to any woman regardless of age,
race, creed or marital status and are also available to her family and
to the father of the baby.
As a state licensed medical facility, VPC is able to provide pregnancy
related medical consultation and limited Ultrasound imaging. Whether over
the phone, or in the office, there is someone to share the stresses and
fears of an unplanned or high stress pregnancy – someone who cares
and is able to help.
Pregnancy Tests
VPC provides a safe and confidential environment to
perform a pregnancy test. A counselor will train you how to read the test
results and if requested, refer you to one of our physicians to confirm
your results and provide medical consultation. Free
literature is available to start educating yourself today about decisions
that may effect your future.
Ultrasound
As a state licensed medical facility, VPC provides limited Ultrasound imaging for improving early pregnancy care. An ultrasound exam will confirm the status of your pregnancy and the information gained is important whether you are considering abortion or continuing your pregnancy. The VPC does not perform abortions or refer for them.
Support and Counseling
Caring counselors and ongoing support groups respond
to the needs of all those involved in an unplanned pregnancy – PRESENT,
PAST OR FUTURE.
Intervention
We offer crisis intervention and on-going practical and emotional support
to women facing an unplanned pregnancy. We also provide pre-natal care
education, birth classes, individual or family counseling and community
referrals.
VPC also provides new moms in need of necessities such as maternity clothes,
diapers, baby clothes, formula, cribs, strollers, car seats, layettes,
high chairs and more.
Mentoring
This program is for our male clients and is designed to offer an environment for men to freely express their concerns about their circumstances and to receive positive interaction from mature men who can give them insightful guidance. It is our desire to provide encouragement to these young men as they become prepared to be fathers and give them an optimistic outlook for their future.
Recovery
A post-abortion support group, known as PACE (Post-Abortion Counseling
Education), is a 12-14 week support group covering the seven stages of
grief. It is for women who have had an abortion and are feeling a sense
of loss or regret from a past decision and need healing.
PreNatal and Birthing Preparation Meetings are at the Center with our Registered Nurse. Topics covered include:
- Proper nutrition
- Fetal development
- Weight gain
- Questions for your doctor
- Videos of live birth
- Labor and delivery
- Question and answer time
